Q.	How can I figure out what size storage unit I need?
A.	Call us and talk to one of our storage specialists about the things you want to store and how you would like to store them. We’ll let you know what we recommend for you. You can also look at the storage sizes page to help guide you towards the proper size.

Q.	Will my belongings be protected from the harmful effects of humidity and temperature?
A.	We offer a variety of unit options. The only way to ensure your belongings will be protected would be by renting one of our climate controlled units. These units provide heat during the winter months and air conditioning and dehumidification during the summer heat. Q.	What type of security does your facility offer?
A.	We take security seriously. We want nothing to happen to your things just as much as you do. We provide our customers with a gated community, advanced closed circuit camera systems, code protection, and individual door alarm protection. Q.	How do you keep track of who enters and exits your property?
A.	By giving every customer their own individual access code this ensures that only someone with an active code and unit will be able to access the property. When someone enters their code or opens a unit door our system automatically tells us whose code is being entered and whose door is being opened.

Q.	Do you provide locks?
A.	No, we do not provide the locks for your unit. It is the customer’s responsibility to put a lock on their unit within 24 hours of renting. We do sell locks in our office along with a variety of all your packing and moving supplies. We have everything you need to make your move go smoothly.

Q.	Do you provide a cart to help move my belongings in and out of my unit?
A.	Yes, we have two carts located in each of our buildings. We ask that you stop by the office and we will give you the key for the cart. We hold onto your license when you are using the cart to ensure you bring us back the key.

Q.	How can I make my monthly payment?
A.	Our customers can now go online at www.bssproperites.com and make a payment with a  check(ACH) or credit card. We can put you on auto payment for the 1st through the 5th of the month, we also accept checks, credit cards in person or over the phone, or if you can’t make it over while we are open feel free to leave your payment in our mail drop box.

Q.	Do I need insurance while I store at Burlington Self Storage?
A.	Although insurance is not required we highly recommend it. If your items are worth storing, then they are worth insuring. When you come in to rent a unit with us we will go over your insurance options and help you choose the best plan.

Q.	How long of a contract do I need to sign up for?
A.	There is no specific time period we require you to sign up for. All storage can be done on a month to month basis. We pro-rate you on the move in so you are only paying for the days you are renting. We do offer incentives for prepaying in advance, ask one of our storage professionals for more information.

Q.	What kind of a notice do I need to give when I am vacating?
A.	We ask that you give us a 10 day vacate notice before the end of the month if you need more time we can prorate your rent 5 days into the following month but after the 5th day you will be required to pay for another full month

Q.	I have a friend that needs storage. What if I refer your facility, do I get a discount.
A.	Yes you do and your friend too!  Just fill out one of our referral card with your information and give it to your friend. When he/she comes to rent a unit, you and your fiend will receive 10% off your next months rent. You can click our "Locations" page to see other specials that might apply to you.

I don’t have any way of bringing my belonging to my new storage unit. What are my options?

A.

We can provide everything you need to move things to our facility. From boxes and packing and materials to FREE use of our 14’ truck, we make it easy for you. Visit one of our stores to find out just how many convenient items we offer. If you need advice, our staff is always available to help you. We can also recommend a local moving company that is familiar with the facility to save time and money.
